Bucks County band performs in Mummer's Parade
   Thousands of locals from Philadelphia gathered in South Philly to watch the 2013 Philadelphia's Mummer's Parade, which consisted of 40 different clubs. One of those clubs was the Hulmeville Uptown String Band, who has performed in this New Year's celebration for the last 76 years.

Bolton Mansion & Levittown's 60th Anniversary Celebration
   Joining together with Rich & Amy Wagner, Bolton Mansion hosted the 60 years of Levittown, Pa. The two day event featured tours of Bolton Mansion, displays of Levittown's beginnings, photos and videos of Levittown's past and present and the collecting of oral histories of original Levittown residents. Our video chronicles the events over the two day show and focuses on the people who took part in this celebration.

   Bolton Mansion's Community Flea Market was wonderful. The Friends of Bolton Mansion offer this free event as a "Thank You" to Bolton Mansion's community. It was a wonderful day and many vendors and customers enjoyed the beautiful spring day.

   Bolton Mansion's Hearth Cooking Class with Susan McLellan Plaisted. This six hour cooking class included foods from colonial times prepared over Bolton Mansion's open hearth. Susan McLellan Plaisted provided the members of the class with detailed instruction of the food cooking preparation, information about what is required to cook with an open fire and embers and interesting stories about the life and times of people in the 1700's. A sit down dinner of all the prepared food concluded the interesting and entertaining class. Colonial cooking classes are an ongoing event at Bolton Mansion.

Bolton Mansion "Concert on the Green"
   A wonderfully cool summer evening under the stars greeted the guests of Bolton Mansion along with hot apple cider and hot chocolate to the sounds of the Squires of Song. The "Concert on the Green" included music from old rock and roll's, "In The Still of the Night" to Broadway's, "Give Me Regards to Broadway". This video is a sample of the music that was performed.

   The beginning of August is always the time of Bolton Mansion's SummerFest. Our festival featured colonial re-creators, music, toy trains and vendors. The beautiful weather brought out many Bucks County people to make this event a success.

   A 30 mile ride on the Columbia Trail from Long Valley, through Ken Lockwood Gorge WMA, to High Bridge, continuing west to the Spruce Run Reservoir before heading back. Stopped to fish for 20 minutes and caught some dinner in High Bridge (outside the WMA).
